CREDITON Morrisons and an Exeter Community Interest Company (CIC) have been thanked for helping The Amber Foundation, a charity which houses and supports homeless and unemployed young people in Devon.

Inclusive Exeter CIC has been running a Coronavirus Hardship Relief Project since lockdown began and to-date, this has helped 998 people in need of food in the Exeter area.

The CIC has been generously supported by Crediton Morrisons with donations of food items and was recently able to arrange for a bumper food delivery to Amber’s residential centre, Ashley Court, in Chawleigh.

Alan Quick of Inclusive Exeter CIC said: “I am thrilled that we are able to support Amber. It is such a worthwhile charity which is helping so many young people.”

Hazel Evely, Community Champion, Crediton Morrisons, said: “At Morrisons we have been helping many groups and organisations with food donations since the pandemic started and we are delighted to be able to supply food items to Amber.

“I hope that we will be able to help Amber again in the near future.”

Rebecca Fry, Fundraising Manager, at the Amber Foundation, said: “The residents thought Christmas had come early – we were bowled over by the amount of food. I’d like to thank Crediton Morrisons and Inclusive Exeter CIC for their support of Amber. The generosity and support is hugely appreciated by staff and residents alike.”
