OVER the past few years Yeoford Primary School’s Parent Teachers Association has raised hundreds of pounds for equipment and activities.
It is now asking for more support. The current officers - chairman, secretary and treasurer - will be standing down at the annual meeting on January 16 after a number of years in office.
A new committee is needed otherwise the PTA could fold and, apart from all the “extras” for the village school, there would be no Yeo Yo’s after school club, which is well used. The school had a good OFSTED last May.
An appeal has gone out for help to organise and run fundraising events such as the Christmas fayre, summer fayre, school discos, bingo and more to be able to buy more resources.
The PTA is a small, friendly group of parents who work closely with the head on how to spend funds raise and events for help fundraising. During the past four years events the PTA has raised more than £5,300.
The annual meeting will be at the school at 6pm on Monday, January 16. Parents and carers have been asked to give their support.
