THE Crediton Service for World Day of Prayer 2020 will be held today, Friday, March 6, at 2pm in the Methodist Church.

Women of Zimbabwe have prepared the Service this year and they encourage us to reflect on the difficulties and unrest that have plagued their country over many years. They encourage us to “Rise, take your mat and walk” with them as they continue their (often turbulent) journey towards full reconciliation.

The Day of Prayer is celebrated in more than 170 countries. It begins in Samoa and prayer in native languages travels the world - through Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Europe and the Americas - before finishing in American Samoa more than 36 hours later.
