LIKE a child in a Sweet Shop, local Expressive Arts Practitioner and Family Entertainer, Rob Pudner could easily be mistaken for "Willy Wonka"!

Rob of Entertainingly Different is well-known throughout the South West and beyond.

With all of his engagements either postponed or cancelled altogether since lockdown he has taken to social media to reach his audiences with the aim of raising smiles and laughter and lifting spirits at this difficult time.

One the shows he has taken online is the ever popular "Rise and Shine" which is jam packed with interactive shout-outs and silliness.

This family favourite caused quite a stir with virtual audiences reaching the high thousands when he first starting broadcasting live from his back garden on Saturday mornings.

He has gained support from a number of Devon based writers and businesses and his show on Saturday, August 1, is in association with the newly-opened "Unique Sweets and Treats".

The shop, based in Crediton’s Creedy Centre, is like an old-fashioned, nostalgic, candy filled sweet shop but it comes with a real social twist.

Rob in the guise of the master chocolatier "Willy Wonka" will be streaming his hour-long show live from the shop at 9.30am next Saturday for a virtual audience only, and then once the shop has opened its doors there will be a meet and greet and you may even catch him on his walkabout around the town.

"Unique Sweets and Treats" stock a wide variety of delicious traditional and contemporary sweets from pear drops, cough candy, cola bottles, cherry lips to a shocking selection of sours.

As well as an exclusive range of pocket money sweets and treats that will appeal to all, their fantastic "Pick n’ Mix", a range of sugar free sweets and treats suitable for those with specific dietary requirements they also stock party supplies that will compliment any occasion.

Rob said: "I do have a rather sweet tooth so I am most certainly in the right place - I literally feel like a child a sweet shop! I’m so excited about next week’s show, I’ve chosen the outfit, the songs and the stories but the only thing left to decide on is whether to have the Sherbet Lemons, Strawberry Bonbons or Army and Navy Sweets or indeed all three?"
