DUE to the cancellation of the January meeting members of DOWN ST MARY will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, February 10 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
This will be a social evening with a 20 questions quiz. Question master will be Anthony Martin.
There will also be a bring and share supper.
DESPITE snowy weather, several members of CHERITON FITZPAINE travelled in the community minibus to the Northcott Theatre, Exeter to see the pantomime.
Although it took us longer than expected, we did not miss any of the performance, as The Good Fairy was stuck in a snowdrift! However, after 10 minutes of banter with the audience, the panto began and we all enjoyed ourselves.
Unfortunately, our January meeting had to be cancelled, but we hope to be back to normal next month, when we meet in the Parish Hall on Wednesday, February 3 at 2.15pm. The speaker will be Jenny Irvine describing her foreign travels.

THE December meeting of MORCHARD BISHOP had nearly every member enjoying the Christmas time lunch at the Lymington Arms, Wembworthy, preceded by a very brief business session!
January – as were many events – was cancelled due to icy conditions.
Now we await the February 10 meeting, when we should be given a talk by PC Steve Pike about police dogs. He will be bringing his own dog for us to see.
Subscriptions are now due, so please come prepared!>
THE January meeting of SANDFORD had to be cancelled due to the snow but members are reminded that their next meeting is on Tuesday, February 9.
The speaker will be Mel Stride who will talk about the Tower of London.
Subscriptions will also be due on that evening.
President Margaret Tucker has expressed her thanks to Sandford Parish Council for their donation of £50.^
