I CANNOT agree with the purchase by Crediton Town Council of the Town Square - a space surrounded by historic buildings.

Where is all the money coming from? An unwanted footpath in Newcombes Park and now an open air facility that the pigeons think is a paddling pool, after a good shower of rain.

Mid Devon District Council are wise to "get rid of it" before major repairs will be needed.

An after-thought - I read that new play equipment is needed in Newcombes Meadow, who is going to pay for that?
