AS winter approaches, thousands of refugees are living in camps, especially in Greece and Lebanon, in very poor conditions, and so in particular need of help at this time of year.

Welcoming Refugees in Crediton is organising another collection to aid the refugees, which will take place at Crediton Congregational Church on Saturday, November 23 from 10am to 1pm.

The following items would be welcomed on November 23:?Clothes for men, women and children, washed and in good condition. Also blankets, sleeping bags and waterproof coats.

Baby clothes and other equipment for babies.

First aid kits and personal hygiene type equipment, eg toothpaste/ toothbrushes.

Tinned food but not meat items or baked beans. Other food eg rice/pasta etc.

Hand sewing machines/sewing items/wool.

The group has a driver and expenses can be covered.
