I AM in shock. I can't believe what century we are in. I woke up the other day to find a new proposed route, for the Crediton link road, that will come less than 50 metres from our house!
The article was quoting various people on how it will benefit the view of Downes Estate.
I live in Downshead Lane. There has been NO CONSULTATION, NO CONSIDERATION, NOTHING. We will be able to SEE IT, SMELL IT, HEAR IT, TASTE IT!
It doesn't seem to matter that this area is the birthplace of St Boniface, and a conservation area.
Maybe "Buller Square" should be re-named St Boniface Square', as Downes estate and the town council show no allegiance to this area.
This whole scheme seems to be to get a link road a the cheapest cost, but the actual cost will be the quality of the lives of some of Creditons residents.
I would like to thank the people of Crediton that can see sense where this ridiculous new proposed link road is concerned. We cannot allow this particular route to happen.
I am not against the link road, but not one that will please only people in high places and not the everyday citizen.
