THE annual Waie Inn Christmas lunch, hosted by Jean Burrow, was another very enjoyable event with guests coming from Zeal Monachorum, Lapford, Crediton Copplestone Spreyton, Coldridge and Bow.

It was a traditional and delicious turkey meal, followed by a selection of puddings both hot and cold, then mince pies and clotted cream, with tea or coffee and chocolate mints, plus crackers and wines.

After lunch Arthur Turner presented Jean with a gift token as a big Thank You for organising the regular fortnightly lunches, which are most enjoyable.

There was also a collection for the staff, who always do a wonderful job.

After lunch Jean organised games of bingo, with even more prizes. There was a large raffle, with the money raised being donated to Hospiscare.

Everyone had such a good time, no-one was in a hurry to go home!
