AGE Concern Crediton presented a gift to its volunteer chef this week.
Clare Bainbridge cooks between 25 and 32 meals each week which volunteers then deliver to Age Concern Crediton clients across the area.
Age Concern Crediton has been unable to welcome clients to the Lady Mills Centre in Deep Lane because of the pandemic for more than a year.
Since June last year Clare has cooked 950 meals with the food donated by Crediton Morrisons store.
Clare explained: “Morrisons, courtesy of the Crediton store’s Community Champion, Sharon Arnold and previously Hazel Evely, has very kindly donated food to us every week since we began cooking and running our Meals on Wheels service.
“I am extremely grateful for the food items which I have been able to cook into meals for those who receive the deliveries.
“I know that the meals are greatly enjoyed, so thanks again Morrisons.”
