A RECENT Heritage Open Day held at Crediton Parish Church as part of CredFest welcomed around 30 visitors who took the opportunity to have a tour of the bell tower and the Governors Room.

Many questions were asked by the visitors ranging from enquiries about General Sir Redvers Buller through to the nationally important monuments in the historic church.

A couple of family history enquiries needed further research that fortunately, since the open day, have been solved.

Vince Wilson and Margaret Whitfield were thanked for their efforts with the much-appreciated refreshments during the afternoon.

For anyone who missed the open day at the Parish Church another is due to be held on Saturday, September 16, from 11am to 3pm.
