CHILDREN from Key Stage One (classes Ash and Maple) at Cheriton Fitzpaine Primary School and some of the children in the school’s pre-school unit enjoyed a recent visit to Crediton Fire Station.

Ash class teacher Jack Hookway, explained: “We had been learning all about fire as part of our topic and this trip was a brilliant way to round it all off involving some engaging fun and educational experiences for all of the children and staff.”

He added: “Many thanks go to Mark Bolt and the team that were able to instruct us on fire safety and show us around to look at the apparatus and resources used to fight fires. The children and staff had a thoroughly, enjoyable morning.”
