OUR walk on Friday, March 17 took us to Newton St Cyres where we followed the Shuttern Brook towards Sherwood and being rather sheltered the spring flowers, especially daffodils were starting to appear.

After a short climb the group left the lane and headed over undulating field paths to regain the lane and shortly another path to rejoin the brook and, adjacent to it, walk back through woodland and fields to Marsh Lane and a return to our start.

A walk very much enjoyed by those there, and even the weather was kind to us with no sign of rain for a change, and reasonably warm also.

Crediton Walk and Talk group meet fortnightly at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre at 9.45am.

Walks start from the Leisure Centre or nearby and take around 90 minutes, covering about three miles.

Anyone is welcome and walks are free to join. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome, as long as they are kept on a short lead.

The next walk is on March 31.
