VEHICLES are currently driving through floods at Bickleigh Bridge, between Crediton and Tiverton, at their own risk.
Crediton resident Christine Marshall did not risk it, turning around and returning to her home.
She explained: “The floodwater was over the sills of the vehicles going through. I just didn’t want to risk it.
“Police are at each end advising motorists.”
In addition, there have been reports of flooding on minor roads in the Crediton area and flooding has caused issues on the Exeter to Okehampton Railway line.

• Update: The bridge has since been closed due to flooding each side. Queen Elizabeth's School buses CRED005 and CRED011 are diverting via the M5 to reach Crediton due to the flooding. Delays are expected.
• Punchbowl Recycling Centre near Crediton has been closed due to the high winds.
