TWO temporary road closures in Crediton next week have been announced by Devon County Council to enable Skanska UK to carry out resurfacing works.
The first, at Alexandra Road, Alexandra Way and St Martin’s Lane, will come into effect from Monday, December 18 until Tuesday, December 19 (both dates inclusive).
The schedule of work will include: Alexandra Road - both sides from its junction with Chapel Downs Road to the boundary of Heltor for a distance of 180 metres in an easterly direction.
Alexandra Way - both sides from its junction with Alexandra Road to the entrance of Highfield for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.
St Martin’s Lane - both sides from its junction with Alexandra Road to the side entrance of Queen Elizabeth’s School for a distance of 30 metres in a southerly direction.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via Alexandra Road, St Martin’s Lane, A377 Western Road.
The second closure, at Greenway, will come into effect from Monday, December 18 to Wednesday, December 20 (all dates inclusive).
This will effect both sides of Greenway from its junction with Landscore to the boundaries of 24/26 Greenway for a distance of 160 metres in an easterly direction.
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via Landscore, A377 High Street, St Saviour’s Way and Greenway.
Both closures are put in place for protection of the workforce and travelling public during the resurfacing works.
