THE performance Turning Tides show-cases the work of New Leaf Adventures, a new collaborative company of more than 50 disabled artists involving members of Attik 360 and The LA Buskers, on Saturday, June 7, at Exeter University. This performance of original work, is multi- dimensional across a full range of art forms – music, dance, literature, art and the use of media. There will be two accompanying exhibitions all produced by the performers. Turning Tides is a performance that takes the audience on a journey in the company of a Promenade Poet. The journey charts change and development – sometimes related to cyclical processes, the unfolding of the seasons, the phases of the moon, always about personal aspiration and achievement. As the performance unfolds the tide ebbs and flows, inviting reflection, participation, total emergence and fun - all the work is produced by the artists. The performance will start outside at the South Piazza, which is next to The Forum, at Exeter University (follow signs for the Northcott Theatre). The second half will be performed in the auditorium inside The Forum. The performance will run from 2.30pm to 4pm and entry is free of charge, (Donations would be welcome and art work and merchandise will be available to purchase). There will be level access and wheelchair accessible seats will be available at the front of the auditorium.
