A FLAG-raising ceremony in support of Armed Forces Day took place at the Council offices, Market Street, Crediton, on Monday.
Armed Forces Day takes place tomorrow, Saturday, June 27 and is a day when the whole nation is invited to show support for our military community, both serving and retired, at home and abroad.
Crediton Town Council flies the Armed Forces flag for the duration of the week leading up to Armed Forces Day, from the Council offices, by kind permission of Mid Devon District Council.
John Shaw, chairman, Crediton branch of the Royal British Legion, paid tribute to those who had served or are currently serving in the Forces.
Members of the Crediton branch of the Royal British Legion and Lions Club of Crediton, council staff and the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Joyce Harris and members of the public took part in the ceremony.
