CREDITON has a fine tradition of creating some fine dancers and actors who go on to do great things.
That tradition is set to continue as two more Kirtonians continue their dance careers.
Sophie Stevens and Daisy Dafters, both aged 18, and students from the Katharine Mitchell School of Dance in Crediton have been offered places at the London Studio Centre.
From September Sophie will undertake a BA Honours in Theatre Dance and Daisy a BA Honours in Musical Theatre.
Miss Katharine Mitchell from the Katharine Mitchell School of Dance said that both girls had been pupils at her school since the age of three, a total of 15 years.
She explained: "They have both passed all their exams, right through from Primary Tap to Grade Eight, both also recently passing the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced Foundation and Intermediate Modern with Distinction.
"It will be sad to see them go but this is the natural progression for them. It is time for them to go to the next level which is something they have worked for all their lives.
"I wish them both the very best of luck for the future."
