“THE Hills Are Alive,” not quite, but from Monday, April 18 to Saturday, April 23 they will be, as CODS presents its annual Easter Production.

This year it is “The Sound of Music” and tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 2.

Tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £12.50 for concessions and £10 for under 16s.

Tickets can be ordered via the Box Office link on CODS website at: www.codsonline.com, by emailing: [email protected] or by turning up to the Old Town Hall, Searle Street, between 6pm and 7.30pm, on any Wednesday evening.

Performances are at 7.30pm at Queen Elizabeth’s School at the Barnfield site with a Saturday matinee being performed at 2pm.

CODS journey started in November when the normal membership was joined by more than 20 children keen to take the parts of the Von Trapp children.

Three or four weeks of rehearsals took place before audition day.

Due to rules involved with children performing on stage, two groups are needed to do the run of seven performances and therefore the number was whittled down to 12.

After a couple more weeks of rehearsing Team Schnitzel and Team Strudel were chosen.

If you wish to buy tickets to watch any of the children that you may know then the following performances are being done by these groups:

Team Schnitzel - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday matinee - Adam Cavannagh, Erin Zorlu, Rosanna Clark, Florence Albrighton, Leila Hooper and Erin McEvoy .

Team Strudel - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening - Finlay Longstaff, Georgina Tedd, Isabella Betts, Bella Gurney, Freya Hayes and Holly Wallis.

This is a very popular show and with members and friends having a month of priority booking there are less than 50 per cent of the week’s tickets left, so don’t delay in placing your orders as this production will sell out!
