THREE members of staff from Crediton solicitors, Charlesworth Nicholl and Company, have signed up to take part in next month's Great West Run on behalf of EDP Drug and Alcohol Services, one of the event's designated charities.
This year's Great West Run, on Sunday, May 3, will take place in and around central Exeter, and will feature two races – a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5km (3.1 miles) race.
The three are Susan Sharratt, who does family work and civil litigation; Phillipa Clay, who works in the family department and Julie Tiao, a conveyancing solicitor.
Phillipa told the Courier: "We are keen to support EDP because our family department deals with a lot of very difficult child care cases where substance abuse is a major problem, not only for the user but for the entire family.
"EDP works to prevent harm to the users and, also, very importantly, their families and communities.
"We'd like to raise a lot of money for this very worthwhile cause."
