FOR the fifth successive year, David Dodgeon and Crediton Rugby Club organised a Summer Camp for all Junior section players.

This year numbers were down slightly with 42 boys attending the Camp at the Club.

The coaches were all part of the excellent Community set up at Exeter Chiefs. The lads were coached in four groups combining a couple of age groups and the coaches were assisted each day by a couple of boys from last year's Under 16's, who have just returned from their successful tour of Zimbabwe.

The lads worked really hard over the three days on skills, fitness and contact and were rewarded by some reasonable weather! It was the first year that we have not had a soaking on at least one of the days.

At the end of the Camp, each age group had a trainer of the Camp based on effort, improvement, helpfulness and attention to instruction!

Under 9 and 10 - Harvey Blake; Under 11 and 12 – Harry Trelawney; Under 13 and 14 – Jack Reed; Under 15 and 16 – Jack Zilch.

Each was presented with a signed Exeter Chiefs training shirt. The award for the Player of the Camp went to Alistair Tonkin who received a signed Exeter Chiefs match ball.

Good luck to all the Junior teams at the Club for a successful season.
