RED, white and blue was the colour of the day for the Red Lion Inn at Tedburn St Mary when a “royal” party was held to raise funds for three charities.
They were Parkinson’s UK which used to be the Parkinson’s Disease Society, it changed its name in 2010, and Dementia. Both are the chosen charity for the pub this year.
Pub customer Maurice Gordon was also raising funds for Cheltenham Cancer Unit. He was MC through the afternoon as well as providing the live music in the evening.
The charity fun afternoon included a barbecue, cake stall, plants, pub games, a quiz and a darts competition, all with a red, white and blue fancy dress theme - which a number of folk took up.
Thanks went to all the local people and businesses who had donated raffle prizes.
