THORVERTON'S monthly village magazine "Focus on Thorverton" is searching for a new editor to replace the existing editor who is stepping down at the end of March.

The magazine has been printed monthly since 1969, always put together by volunteers.

Michael Ayre explained: "It has evolved from sheets of paper being duplicated on a 'Banda' machine to now where each month's contents are emailed to printers.

"It is still run by volunteers, although now we pay for the printing.

"Without an editor none of this happens! Although there is the support of sub-editors, treasurer, advert secretary, and a committee; an editor is needed to arrange the contents and send it to the printers each month, 11 times-a-year.

"Have you the computer skills and the time to help? Did you always want to get involved with community things but haven’t yet?

"You don’t need to live in the village, all the information gets emailed to you."

If you can help, please contact Michael on 01392 860434 or email: [email protected] .
