UPSTREAM is a local charity which works with older people in the community, helping prevent loneliness and isolation, to improve health and wellbeing.

The Upstream photography group has been running for almost a year, following a collaborative project with the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.

The group includes men and women with a wide range of skill and experience in photography, including absolute beginners.

Their aim is to provide a relaxed social and mutually supportive group for people with an interest in taking photos and meeting others.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month, from 10am to 12 noon.

The group members are delighted to have put together an exhibition of work in Crediton Library, which will run until the end of January.

The photographs cover a wide range of themes and reflect the interests of members.

The Photography Group is looking forward to another collaborative project with the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and Artswave, a community arts project, starting in late February.

This will involve a series of six photography workshops over six weeks, with features of Crediton, which often go unnoticed, as a theme.
