CREDITON bookshop The Bookery has received a grant from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) via Mid Devon District Council to develop its facilities further.

The Hub at The Bookery is a friendly shared workspace, tucked away behind The Bookery bookshop in the centre of Crediton’s High Street.

The growth in homeworking has allowed many people to work more flexibly, and shared workspaces have become a budget-friendly solution for individuals and small businesses looking for a distraction-free place to work with unique opportunities for collaboration and networking.

Used by locals and visitors to the area, The Hub at The Bookery offers co-working desks with ultrafast fibre broadband, storage lockers, and a communal kitchen area.

The grant means that The Hub is now also able to offer a private meeting room fully kitted out with videoconferencing equipment and a 55” screen for in-person or hybrid meetings.
