A ONE-off special this year commemorates the 100th anniversary of the last year of the First World War.
Cheriton Bishop Parish Church is the setting for a production, weaving together songs, stories and poetry from that era and in particular remembrance of the bravery and sacrifice made by certain men from Cheriton Bishop.
This local production, by local people, looks at all the angles, including those who had reservations for the need for war in the first place and what the parishioners who stayed here at home, did to help those at the front.
There will also be an small exhibition of local World War One information, including names of men joining the forces, prisoners of war, agriculture and cropping plans.
"That World War I Experience" will take place on Saturday, March 24, beginning at 7.30pm at Cheriton Bishop Parish Church.
See Cheriton Bishop Parish Church as you’ve never seen it before.
Tickets priced at £7 per ticket will include refreshments.
Please telephone Pat on 01647 24456 to book your ticket, (if possible by Wednesday, March 21).
