I WOULD like to thank everyone who sponsored, donated and bought raffle tickets and helped in any other way to make Crediton United Football Club’s 40 year celebration at Lords Meadow such a success.

It started with Ian Grinney saying we should have a reunion before it is all too late, i.e. dying as we are not getting any younger and we (Chris Gillard, Ian and myself) are the only three left that go back to the 1960’s, let alone 40 years.

So, it was hatched - we three old Kyrtonians had a brain wave with a lot of hard work and the help of a lot of people, plus our Crediton AFC committee and others.

It was a wonderful day. Of course, it had to rain on our parade but there were so many old players from far and wide that it did not dampen the day at all.

The First Team won 3-0 - keep it going lads.

The Three Little Pigs did the barbecue which was superb, thank you Sandra. The bar lads were very busy, thank you and Jill, the leader - job well done!

We three old codgers won’t be doing another one so from Ian, Chris and me, “Blanch” thank you all for making it such a success.

It all helps the club for the future.
