A FINAL request to residents of North Tawton has come from the town´s Neighbourhood Planning group.
The seven-week public consultation on the town’ draft plan comes to an end on January 15 and the group is keen to receive comments.
To make the process simple, the group will be holding a drop-in session at the Town Hall on Saturday, January 6, from 10am until 12 noon.
Members of the public will be able see the key policies in the plan which cover topics such as housing, transport, economic infrastructure and conservation.
Refreshments will be served.
The Neighbourhood Plan will be a key document in the future development of the town.
For the past five weeks the plan has been readily available to the public – online, in the medical and dental surgeries, the cafes and public houses – but the committee wanted it to be available to discuss the plan with local residents before submitting it to West Devon Borough Council.
The final date for comments is January 15 at 5pm.
Jean Trewhitt, vice-chair of North Tawton Council and chair of the Neighbourhood Plan group said: “The drop-in event will make it really easy for people to give us their comments.
"There will be feedback forms there for people to use and help with completing them if necessary.
"We really want to know that we are on the right lines with the plan and would ask people to give us 10 minutes of their time to drop by the Town Hall on January 6 and let us know what they think.”
