VIEWS of people living and working in Crediton are needed - and to help show ideas Crediton Town Council will be holding a two-day exhibition at the Boniface Centre prior to its annual town meeting on April 28.
The annual meeting includes an open session for discussion of town issues. Half an hour is always set aside at council meetings, but this discussion of issues and a summary of responses on the town plan, is not limited.
Comments are being invited on a number of proposed development for the town in the exhibition on Monday, April 27 12noon-8pm and Tuesday, April 28 from 10am-6pm with the annual meeting starting at 7pm.
This annual meeting of electors of the parish is not a council meeting but is usually organised by Crediton Town Council.
Its plan has developed over the last year on the basis of the 2003 strategic plan that was created by all part of the community as part of the Market and Coastal Towns Initiative.
The MCTi strategic plan looked at environment, economy and employment, housing, transport and lifestyle. The town council's town plan includes proposals on the environment, economic development, building development, transport and social issues.
There will also be proposals from the district and county councils concerning developments and roads and will be looking at both council's forward planning ideas.
