CHILDREN from Year 4 at Hayward’s Primary School in Crediton, held a Teddy Sleepover and raised £143.20 for the charity CHAT (Churches Housing Action The children (and staff) took their teddies into school on Tuesday, January 29 and left them at the school for a Teddy Sleepover in the School Hall at the end of the day.
Teacher, Scott Baker, explained: "The teddies staying on in the school hall experienced loneliness and the children missed their teddies.
"The Teddy Sleepover is part of the PSHE curriculum and aims to teach the children empathy.
CHAT helps people in housing need to gain access to decent, secure and affordable accommodation and to promote positive change through continuing support, believing that everybody is entitled somewhere to call home, and to live their life free from fear, violence and abuse.
