THIS year it is about to get more exciting for fans of Ballroom and Latin American dance.

The first Tea Dance of the season, this time raising funds for Hospiscare, will be held in Newton St Cyres Parish Hall on Sunday, February 9, from 3pm until 5.15pm.

The group of local organisers say they are hoping to exceed the £334 they raised in September for Sarah’s Bedroom Appeal, to help a Shobrooke resident have her own bedroom.

One of the organisers, Liz Rafferty, said: “What could be better? A Sunday afternoon spent with two professional tutors, dancing, laughing, socialising, plus tea and cakes.

“Tickets can be purchased at Crediton Coffee Company or Evans Newsagents for £10 each. Please also tell your friends, to make this fundraising dance a success.”
