THE Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir pay a return visit to Newton St Cyres Parish Church on Saturday, October 8, for a concert of light and entertaining songs.

The evening, organised by the Church, Parish Hall and Cancer Research UK, starts at 7.30pm with proceeds going to the three organisations.

This year is a special anniversary year for the choir who had their inaugural concert at Chillington South Devon in April 2006. Then numbering just nine members and now having almost 40 members from diverse backgrounds, the choir has raised many thousands of pounds for local charities.

The choir’s Musical Director, Rosemary Cole, who has composed and arranged many pieces for the choir, and principle accompanist David Crocker have been vital to the choir’s success since its formation.
