CREDITON'S Leisure Centre will again host swimmers taking part in a Swimathon to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
From April 16 to 19 thousands of swimmers will tackle part in this annual event, using 500 pools.
In the past two years 30,000 swimmers have taken part and raised more than £3 million for Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Swimathon Foundation. Swimmers can challenge themselves to the ultimate 5K, the 2.5L for the intermediate swimmer or 1.5K for those who swim only occasionally. Entry fee is £9 for individuals and £15 for a team, with concessionary half-price available for the unemployed, registered disabled and senior citizens.
