VARIOUS enquiries have come into the office about how the public can help those people affected in the fire.

There will be a collection tomorrow morning (Saturday February 4) at the Farmers' Market between 10am and 12.30.

The collection point has been set up by the Town Council, in conjunction with the Rev. Nigel Guthrie.

The fund will be called the 'Crediton Support Fund' it is hoped that further donations will also be able to be taken from the council offices on Market Street from Tuesday February 7.

The Parish church is happy to collect donations at the font at the back of the church until the Mid Devon collection point is confirmed.

The staff at the Courier office would like to thank all the agencies involved in helping those affected by the fire and offer congratulations to the town for the outpouring of support for them. We have been inundated with requests for information as to where and how people can help.

Posters will be put up around the town in the coming days with any further information and we invite you keep an eye on the Courier's website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

If you have furniture, white goods, clothing etc which you would like to donate, please keep hold of these items and make a list together with your contact details and take them, with your financial donations to the Council offices.

Please make cheques payable to the

'Crediton Support Fund' and post to the
