IF you haven’t already visited this year’s exhibition “Crediton Station: A Brief Encounter” at Crediton Museum, you have missed a treat.

As well as plenty for adults to see, for this year’s summer holidays there are extra things for children to do.

There is a “Find Thomas the Tank and Friends” competition, a quiz, colouring sheets, word search, anagrams and printed maze.

There is also a “Write A Letter Home” competition where children are invited to imagine they have been evacuated and living in a strange place with people they have never met before.

They have to write a letter to their parents about life in their new home.

This competition is open to all ages and children just need to pop into the museum to get details or visit the website: www.creditonhistory.org.uk .

There will be a small prize for the most realistic, amusing and interesting letter.

Closing date is Friday, September 6.

The adults have not been forgotten and there will be a repeat of last year’s successful mystery item competition with a new item to puzzle over.

The museum, at the Old Town Hall in Crediton is open from 10am to 4pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.
