DREADNOUGHT South West bring their powerful and timely play “The Cause” to Crediton Arts Centre to open a packed summer theatre programme on Friday, April 27.
Set in 1913, Natalie McGrath’s play imagines a meeting in an orchard between Millicent Fawcett and Emmeline Pankhurst, leading lights of the burgeoning Suffragette movement.
“The Cause” considers the impact that a lifetime of political campaigning has on an individual, asking how far would you go for what you believe in?
Marking the centenary year of the first votes for some women in 1918, this dynamic production has an original musical score and film animation projected for thrilling visual effect.
Tickets are available at £10, (£8 concessions), from Crediton Community Bookshop, Sandford Community Stores, Crediton Arts Centre or online from: www.creditonartscentre.ticketsource.co.uk .
