FRIENDS of Newcombes Surgery held its annual meeting on May 1 at the surgery in Crediton.

Chairman, Sheila Job said the group had had a successful fundraising year and several items had been bought for use at the surgery.

Officers were re-elected: Sheila Job, chairman; treasurer, Norman Ponsford; secretary, Lee Chudley; press officer, June Chudley; surgery representatives, Karen Hoskins and Hazel Evely.

The next fundraising event for the Friends will be a bingo evening on Thursday, June 6 at Crediton Football Clubhouse. Doors open at 6.45pm with eyes down at 7.45pm.
