SAINT Matthew’s Church at Coldridge hosted its second Christmas Tree Festival on Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9.

Representatives from more than 15 village organisations decorated the trees, providing a wonderful sight.

Refreshments were served while the exhibition was displayed and donations were accepted for the Christian Aid Disaster Fund.

An evening of Festive Music with buffet supper was enjoyed on the Saturday evening in aid of church funds and on Sunday, December 10, there was a Village Christmas Tree Service, which included readings and carols.

The trees will remain in situ until January 1 and can be seen during each day until that time (although they will not be lit) and when services are held.

Sue Lawrence and Jo Dyke, the festival organisers, thank all those who decorated the trees, helped with the display and all those who made donations during their visit.
