A SHORT Remembrance Service held at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Crediton on Friday, November 8, was attended by a number of staff, pupils and students who belong to cadet organisations. They were fortunate that the sun had decided to show that day. The Rev Matthew Tregenza, Rector of Crediton, conducted the service.

Wreaths were laid at the foot of the schools Tommy statue, the silhouette of a soldier, by school Principal Rupert Poole and for the Mayor Crediton, Cllr Frank Letch by his ACF Cadet Cpl Sammie Preece-Drake.

Readings were given by Year 9 pupils Faith Shaw (ACF), James Webster (ATC) and Douglas Coningsby-Pogson (Sea Cadets).
