THIS year’s Sandford School Strawberry Fair was held on Sunday, July 8 on the School field at Sandford School in brilliant sunshine and raised £1,800.

The popular event, organised by Sandford School and Friends of Sandford School (FOSS), was a huge success and was supported by Sandford Orchards, The Crediton Coffee Company, Tesco and other local businesses... Meadowside Garage, the Rose & Crown, The Lamb, Faith Beauty, and Debora lingerie.

Visitors enjoyed strawberry cream teas and other refreshments as well as food from a barbecue.

There were a large number of stalls and activities including a bouncy castle, football challenge, Soopa Doopa Hoopla, Ball in the Bucket, knitting and Beeswax candle making.

There was also a cake stall, a plant stall and keyrings made by the younger children were for sale.

Year 6 pupils had designed their own labels and slogans for jars of honey which were sold at the honey stall.

Visitors also enjoyed face painting, tattoos, nails and hair braids, as well as a human fruit machine and Wet the Rector.

Entertainment included live music and drama.
