THE Great Fire of London will flame again in the Key Stage 1 classrooms of Sandford School this term.

Two local story-tellers, Charlie Werner and Geoff Fox, will use role-play and vivid words to help the young learners understand this important event in our History.

Charlie and Geoff, who are both highly experienced teachers and trainers, visit the school each term to contribute to extending children’s understanding of curriculum topics, chosen by their teachers.

It is an active session with children listening, taking part and asking questions of the story-tellers to learn more.

Their visits are always welcome by teachers and children alike as they bring alive historic events, stimulating pupils’ interest of the past.

An Open Day at the school will be held on Wednesday, November 16 when prospective parents will be able to find out more about this sort of exciting learning that the school offers to its young pupils.

Anyone interested in visiting the school can find out more on the school website: www.sandford-school.devon.sch.uk or telephone the school office on 01363 772256.
