THERE were many stalls and attractions at the Stockleigh Pomeroy Christmas Fair, which had Christmas craft decorations, toys, books, music by Colin Andrews demonstrating his concertina, mandolin and melodian.
There were hanging origami balls, hot chocolate sticks by Michelle Johnson, lots of jars of jams and preserves by Holly Belsher, Suzi Fryer had a beautiful flower stall and Susie Horder and Margaret Tapp displayed Christmas decorations.
A home-made cake stall did well with Tracey Snow in charge, while June Hill and Emma Hill looked after the tombola.
There were also wooden toys on sale, and a large bric-a-brac stall.
Delicious refreshments were served by Ann Huxtable, Polly Burnet, Rosemary Meikle and Jenny Buchanan.
The raffle was looked after by Stephanie Moore.
The final amount raised was a record £1,481 in aid of church funds. Thanks have been expressed to all who went along and to those who helped and had stalls, all of which did a busy trade throughout the day.
