A CREDITON bank has said farewell to a long-serving member of staff.

Steve Collier has retired after 40 years’ service with NatWest, for the past five years at the Crediton branch.

Many customers delivered cards or wished him well on his last day and Steve said he had enjoyed his time working for the bank and serving customers.

“Crediton has a very nice customer base and it has been a pleasure serving them,” he said.

Steve added that he previously worked at the Crediton branch for about four years from 1980 to 1984.

Branch manager Mark Abbott thanked Steve for his service and said he would be greatly missed by customers and colleagues alike.
