Sterling Trio’ kick off 2016 St Boniface Concert series

THE first of this year’s concerts in the St Boniface Concert Society series will take place on Thursday, April 21 at 7.30pm in Crediton Parish Church.

Sarah Atter (flute), Thomas Verity (clarinet) and Lauren Hibbered (piano) make up “The Sterling Trio”, formed in 2006 at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

The trio has established itself as an innovative and engaging chamber ensemble.

Their combination of instruments boasts an extensive and eclectic repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present-day and includes commissions resulting from their collaboration with several composers, among them Howard Blake (composer of The Snowman!).

The programme for Crediton will include Bach, Fauré, Bax and Howard Blake OBE
