A SOUP and Pudding Lunch held at Cheriton Fitzpaine Parish Hall, in aid of Save the Children, was a great success and raised £805.

Jenny and Jonathon Berg, with Judy Tucker and Yvone Clayton, worked hard throughout the event, in the kitchen, serving up five varieties of soups, with rolls, butter and cheese.

Yvone and helpers looked after the pudding table. David and Paddy Dornam organised the raffle, which had many prizes.

The hall was full for the event, which also included a number of stalls, including stalls from the village primary school PTA, Brownies and Rainbows, others including sales of cakes and produce, plants, cushions and crafts, books and CDs.

Young vocalist Holly Crumby, sang a number of popular songs, accompanied by Piers Howell.

Jenny Berg expressed her thanks to everyone who helped and supported the event.
