TIVERTON-BORN singer/songwriter and accomplished guitarist, Tristan Mackay will be appearing at the Old Fire Station Steakhouse in North Street, Crediton on Thursday, November 10, as part of a solo tour.

Tristan was a hugely popular full-time busker in Leeds when he was discovered by Grammy Award winning producer, Martin Levan, in 2010.

Accompanied by world class musicians including Paul Carrack, Don Airy (Deep Purple) and Peter Van Hooke (Van Morrison/Mike and The Mechanics), Tristan went on to write and release two No 1 iTunes albums (Out Along The Wire and Wire and Wood) to critical acclaim.

Tristan’s style crosses blues, soul and folk and he has been compared to John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and Jeff Buckley by the music press.

A popular headline act in his own right, Tristan has opened for countless artists including Robben Ford and Eric Johnson, as well as supporting The Proclaimers, Rumer, Billy Bragg, The South and Beth Hart.

He can often be heard on BBC Radio 2, with airplay, live sessions and interviews from Graham Norton, Dermot O’Leary, Alex Lester, Paul Jones, Clare Balding and Fern Britton.

His music has featured in international adverts and on TV including Channel 4’s Skins.

The evening on November 10 starts with a buffet at 7pm followed by a 60-minute acoustic set by Tristan.

Tickets for the evening, which includes a buffet, are priced at £29 and must be booked in advance. A deposit can be paid on booking.
