THE Friends of Shobrooke Church are planning to hold a one-day mini Harvest Celebration from 10am until 5pm on Saturday, September 18.
This will of course be dependent on any government restrictions that may be announced nearer the time.
There will be marquees and gazebos in the churchyard with most stalls etc, outside.
Light refreshments and the produce stall (bread, cakes, jams, chutneys, etc) will be available inside the church, but there will be seating outside for eating and drinking so that the church does not get too crowded at any time.
Lunches will not be available but will be available at the Red Lion.
At 10am there will be a Short Well Blessing Service at the Holy Well.
After that stalls etc will be opened in the churchyard. There will also be a draw, silent auction, book stall, games and activities for children (trail/face-painting), bric-a-brac, bottles/tins stall, tombola, treasure hunt and local history display.
At 3pm there will be the rose petal shower and teddies will zoom from the tower.
?A Harvest Songs of Praise will be held in the Church from 6pm on Sunday, September 19. There will not be a Share a Plate Harvest Supper this year.
