A LARGE shed, in the private garden of a property off Western Road, Crediton, was totally destroyed by fire earlier this evening (Tuesday, June 13).

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue was called at 6.37pm and two appliances from Crediton attended.

On arrival the crews found the shed was well-alight and that this was spreading to the hedge.

The crews used one hose reel jet and a compressed air foam jet to put out the blaze.

The shed was 100 per cent damaged and a small amount of embankment and a tree were also damaged.
