POLICE forensic officers spent the day at the White Swan public house at 33 High Street, Crediton on Wednesday, February 17, following what has been described as a "serious assault" at the premises.
Two ambulance crews and police went to the pub at about 10.30am and one ambulance took a person, who was the time of going to press, unknown, to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital at Wonford.
Police Duty Sgt Rob McMahon, told the Courier at the scene on Wednesday: "We are conducting an assault investigation which I can confirm is potentially serious, at this time.
"We are trying to follow up inquiries."
