ALTHOUGH it is not unusual for a rotarian to be president of more than one club, it is not that often that he/she is twice elected president of the same club.

However, as a measure of the regard in which he is held by his fellow members, this has happened to rotarian Paul Smith, a member of Crediton's evening club, Crediton Boniface.

At the club's annual handover meeting held at the New Inn, Coleford, he was formally elected president for a second term of office. Paul, who lives at Gunstone, is a structural engineer.

Paul first served as president in 2002/3. He has chosen ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund) as his charity for the year.
